The DOLE-Bureau of Labor Relations offers internships to college students who are pursuing any of the following degrees: Statistics, Public Administration, Political Science, Office Administration, Legal Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Development Management, Industrial Psychology, Development Studies, Mass Communication, Information Technology, Law and Social Sciences courses. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the different aspects of government service in relation to labor-management relations.
Interns must be 3rd year or graduating students of any of the courses mentioned above or other relevant courses.
Interns are expected to report to office anytime between 7:00 a.m and 6:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and participate in any DOLE or BLR activities, subject to office rules and regulations. Interns, however, are not entitled to any allowance or stipend but may enjoy the privilege of helping ensure that the rights of workers and employers are protected at all times.

Interns shall be selected based on the skills requirements of the Bureau and shall be assigned to the units that need the skills of the interns.
The Bureau of Labor Relations develops policies, programs, projects, operating guidelines and standards, and provides advisory to the Office of the Secretary of Labor and Employment and DOLE Regional Offices relative to the administration and enforcement of laws pertaining to labor-management relations including workers’ organization, union registration, and resolving appealed intra and inter-union disputes.
