The Bureau of Labor Relations participated in the Pro Earth Run 2015 on April 25, 2015 (Saturday), at 4:30AM, at the Mall of Asia MOA Grounds Pasay City, in connection with the celebration of the Earth Day 2015 and in consonance with the Bureau’s advocacy to promote and sustain its health and wellness activities as part of its continuing Gender and Development Program.
The activity brought fun, challenges and obviously physical benefits to BLR personnel. In addition, it made the participants realize that there is more to life than work. Camaraderie, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and running for an advocacy or a cause are the things that matter in joining the said activity.
The Pro Earth Run 2015 was organized by the Earth Day Network Philippines Inc. (EDNPI) as an advocacy run to encourage people to take an active lead to protect respect, and oversee the sensible and sustainable care for the Mother Earth. The event consists of a 3K, 5K and 10K race category in which nine (9) women and five (5) men BLR employees ran the race according to their category.
Thereafter, the Bureau through its GAD Committee, provided a free breakfast to the 14 BLR personnel as a compliment for their untiring participation and support to the said advocacy run.
