The Bureau of Labor Relations joins the nation in celebrating the 13th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) in September. This year’s DPRM theme is “Effective Regulations for Sustainable Growth” or “Tamang Regulasyon para sa Patuloy na Pag-ahon”.
The theme focuses on regulatory issues, particularly the need to build a strong regulatory management system backed by research evidence and systematic assessment of proposed policies and regulations. The month-long celebration of the DPRM intends to influence policymakers to adopt regulatory standards that ensure integrity and quality.
The DPRM was instituted in September 2, 2002 through Malacañang Proclamation No. 247. It aims to promote and draw nationwide awareness on the importance of policy research in the formulation of national development plans, programs, and policies.
The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) was designated to lead and coordinate the activities for the annual celebration of the DPRM. For further details and schedule of activities or events for the 2015 DPRM celebration, log on to http://dprm.pids.gov.ph.
