In line with the celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Month, Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz conferred the 2014 DOLE Model Employee Award at the Labor Governance Learning Center (LGLC), DOLE Building in Intramuros, Manila on September 28, 2015.

The DOLE Model Employee Award is given to employees who have performed the assigned tasks which exceeds normal position requirements and inspired other employees to improve the quality and quantity of their work performance; demonstrated initiative in developing new or improved work procedures, methods or devices resulting in substantial savings in manpower, material, cost and time; rendered extraordinary devotion to duty under adverse conditions; possessed outstanding technical or supervisory ability or performance; contributed in maintaining harmonious work relationship within his or her organization; and demonstrated exemplary service on the basis of his or her observance of one or more of the eight norms of behavior described under RA No. 6713 or the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees”.

Two of the five recipients were Glorializa V. delos Santos and Joycelyn A. Amazona from Bureau of Labor Relations. The awardees received a certificate of recognition and a cash incentive of five thousand pesos each.

Both employees exhibited exemplary performance at work either as individual or as a team. They have shared immensely their skills and knowledge with their colleagues. Likewise, they have been able to show their leadership skills, positive attitude and performed their duties with the highest degree of excellence, professionalism and intelligence.

Director Benjo Santos M. Benavidez commended the Bureau’s model employees for the commitment, love and utmost priority given to their jobs.

Ms. Glorializa V. delos Santos is the Officer-in-Charge of Policy and Program Development Division and has been working at the Bureau for five years, while Ms. Joycelyn A. Amazona holds the position of Labor and Employment Officer III and has been in the same division for four years.
