Newly-appointed members of the National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (NTIPC) gathered for their Oath-Taking Ceremony at the DOLE Central Office, OSEC Conference Room in Intramuros, Manila on 19 July 2023.
Present during the ceremony who took their oath before DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma are Ms. Annie Enriquez-Geron, Ms. Mary Joy Vinas, Atty. Ricardo Lapesura, and Mr. Norberto Alensuela representing the labor sector, and Atty. Ranulfo Payos, Mr. Federico Marquez, Mr. Rhoda Caliwara, Ms. Lucila Tarriela, Mr. Arturo Guerrero III, Mr. Renato Almeda, Mr. Ferdinand Ferrer, and Ms. Abigail Gorospe representing the employer sector. The ceremony was held onsite and via Zoom.
The newly-appointed members pledged their commitment to uphold the principles of fair labor practices, promote dialogue between labor and employer sectors, and foster a conducive environment for industrial growth. Their collective expertise and diverse backgrounds are expected to bring fresh perspectives and valuable insights to the Council’s deliberations.
The NTIPC is the main consultative and advisory body mechanism lodged with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), functions primarily as a consultative body where the social partners – labor, employers, and government – are provided a venue to discuss relevant policy issuances on labor and employment.
